I just found this little alligator and something about it was just irresistible. The size for one - it seems pretty small for an alligator but I am no expert on the subject - I'm not even well informed. But this is just a little curiosity I like quite a bit.

It seems to be in very nice shape and the teeth seem to be as sharp as new although one is a little munged. If I read this right it is a size 0. Does anyone have info on the wrench or possible era?

Here is my V&B alligator with the patent. Slightly different.

Both neat!  The differences are interesting.  Makes me think each tool was designed for a different, but specific purpose.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

That is quite a nice looking wrench and it's pretty cool against the patent drawing. Thanks for posting that.

I bet you're right. Like maybe part of a tool kit included with a bicycle for instance?
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

I found a photo of my W&B that is more similar.

Except for the stampings they could be twins. Thanks for the outstanding pic.

if you google Vaughan & Bushnell,  they have a short history of the company.

they are still in the U.S.A. making hammers and other items

Vaughan was an interesting person.
