there is a 6 inch Ellis on EB,  I do not need it, as I already have one.

but if you are interested, ask them a few questions.  I did.

mainly about the locking pin.

I think that is one of the ones without the locking arrangement on the swivel head. They made 2 different styles of locking pins and one style without the lock. We talked about that before on here.

Hi Lewill2,

does that mean that it can swivel up and down and not being able to lock it in position ???

That style was never machined with the notches for a lock pin and it was never machined for the locking pin and spring.

2 different style lock pins. The wrench on the Left has one of the segments broken out at the lock pin.

Another 6 inch Ellis on eBay missing the release knob on the slide, other than that it looks ok.

Lewill2, I saw that one today,  but we still can not take two 6 inchers to make the 12 incher that I need.

did you ever get the 12 incher ?

There was a 6 in. one in Donnelly's July action but it had the little actuator knob broken off so I passed. I didn't see any other sizes. But with some of the huge lots they had I could easily have missed one.

Still looking for a nice 10 & 12 inch version.

Just saw that an 8 inch Ellis was listed today with the latch lever pin/knob missing. Looks to be in fair condition.
