Hi folks, I'm not bringing politics in to play in any way accept for this: I hope that everyone takes the time to vote and pray for who they think will best lead the country forward.

I would remind folks that the presidential election that gets all the attention is NOT as important as your local "down ballot" elections. The people you elect locally and statewide have much more effect on you the the presidential winner.

Another benefit of living in a rural area is at around 3 PM today I was voter number 476, my wife was number 477 and there was 2 people ahead of us. We also have 2 voting machines at our polling place. 

No one in line ahead of me :) !!!! Our county hasn't caught   up to the voting machines yet... all paper ballots here. I say to people, " if for no other reason, voting gives you the license to complain :)" if you don't vote... well, you  don't get the license to bitch:) !!!

This year is the first year I voted for a president. I was to young to vote in any previous elections.

A guy I know said he won't vote unless there's something in it for him. I totally disagree with his mindset but to each there own. Personally I believe it's your civic duty. If you want to live in such a great country you need to at least help elect a leader.

That's just my two cents thoe.

Also keep in mind the next president will be electing Supreme Court justices.

just for interest in Australia its compulsory to vote in federal and state elections otherwise you cop a fine which I think sits at $100 bucks

Nominating, for the advice and consent of the Senate, not electing.  Terminology matters.

But you only need to walk in and register, you are free to walk out without voting.
