I picked up this tool set yesterday. I believe it needs a 1/2" drive female ratchet, possibly part # 672. What say you?

I guess it needs a ratchet because of the extension, but where does it fit in the box?
A place for everything and everything on the floor

Northwoods

What is the unusual socket by the universal?
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

I think the ratchet goes in the top right corner of the box where the square extension is resting. I think it'll move to the left. The odd "socket" I believe is a valve seat grinding tool. From what I hear you had to do more valve jobs than oil changes on the old engines.

Correct.  It is the flat, pressed together female drive plug design.  Awesome set by the way!!  I'd bet 30's.
