Had a nice stop this weekend at an estate sale.
Picked up four ratchets:  Two Plomb pebble 5249's.  One, a MFD. U.S.A. small letter in nice chrome.  Very slick.  The other a MADE IN U.S.A. big letter with no chrome.  Nice sharp lines with great patina and no rust.  Both are now lubed and working like new.  One Proto 5449 in good shape, and one Indestro Super 2775 3/8.  Works smooth as can be.
And four misc. Plomb 1/2" sockets.
One of the boxes is an S-K Lectrolite from 1953-62 for a 3/8" set.
The other is a little black Snap-on Midget Socket Set box from 1927-33.  Decal, hinges and friction clasp are just fine.
I just can't resist little boxes, even if they are empty.
Was $9.00 too much to pay?

Yeah,  You did well.  Be surprised how many early sockets are out there lurking.

But where are the 1/4" sockets?
