Bill's tape thread and ensuring goading me to post pics has inspired me to follow up on my often threatened vow to post pics of my collection here.  I will post a bunch of photos of my 800+ zig zag rules.

That is certainly an impressive collection!

It's no wonder I don't see zigzags any more. You've got them all. Very nice collection by the way.

I know at least one guy who has more and better than me.  I am having a hard time finding ones I don't have without paying an arm and a leg.

 Very nice collection. You may not have a rule collecting problem but you definitlely  have some symptoms.

Part way down in the photos there is one with 3 blue clad aluminum Globemaster Made in Italy rules.  There must have been a translation problem because it says Grass Plated Joints instead of Brass Plated Joints.

I never thought about collecting them I use them!!!

Couple of years ago the wife was yard saling and calls me what are those stick rules you love?
Inside read rules  that is what they are they have almost a box full of new old stock for 2$ each do you want a couple? No buy them all!
So I oiled them and use them have them spread around the farm so I can find one easier! I don't wear bib overalls anymore so I don't have one in my pocket at all times.
I you can guess what the blue anodized aluminum guide is for I would be happy!

I am too cheap to get a vanity plate.  Do you realize how many more zigzags I have been able to buy over the years, by just having a regular plate?  Probably 150.
