I always look for American tools.
Yesterday I found this level in the local charity shop.
Paid € 1.50 ($ 1.77)
The three bubbles work well.
Is it antique ?

Hello, Henri. Nice find!!!  My 1938 catalog shows your level as a No. 132 Bench Level , with double plumbs. I believe the company was known as L. S. Starrett from 1808 to 1909, and then The L. S. Starrett Co. from 1909 to the present day. Regards, Lou

Did you have a mask on and a gun in your pocket? That was a steal.

Didn't have to do that.
There are few tool collectors in the Netherlands, so prices are low in that sort of shops.

Yes Lou, I was very happy with my find.
So my Starrett level may have been made in the thirties, so I call it "vintage".
According to various posts on forums, dating of Starrett tools is rather difficult.
