I bought one of these 72 piece Crescent brand tool kits from Graingers back around the turn of the century. I keep it in my truck for emergency repairs and helping friends when needed. Every single piece of this set is marked Crescent Tools, even the little screw driver bits. Every tool is marked .....but one, the 6" adjustable wrench is marked "made in china" with no brand name. Of all the tools and all the brands, the one tool not marked Crescent is the crescent wrench. :-()

The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

Maybe one of these would fit instead of the Chinese one? The dark , no, but the plain one would.

It does have some grinder marks as you can see in the picture. PM me if interested.

I picked one up at a yard sale a few years ago to replace it, just odd that they would do that.

Crescent probably sold someone the right to their name for the kit.

The one tool they can't gave branded by someone else is an adjustable - made so well by Crescent that we call adjustable wrenches 'Crescent" wrenches.

I'm guessing.  I have a Snapon multitool from a few years ago, sold at Costco and made in China.

A US made adjustable wrench is going to be very lonely in that box.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

I have Cresent items from that period and although not marked are obviously made in China.  If made in the USA it will be marked USA.

Right up to the point that ignorance leads to experiences you'd rather not have had...
