Hello, This is a tool that I have used for years. It  will cut an 1/8" Round-over, or, change the blades to a 45° Chamfer blade. Very handy for one-offs,  or when I am out of the shop. This is one of the originals by L A Mathers, knockoffs are still available,sold by Rockler, Made in Taiwan. I still do round-overs & chamfers with a block plane, but this one sets up quickly and accurately. Regards, Lou

I've seen versions of that plane before, but always wondered what kind of results they produced.  It reminds me of the Stanley 144 series.  If you're recommending it Lou, I'll have to keep an eye out for one.

I bought one new, probably 20 or more years ago.

It really finished up straight edges fast, I like using it.

A single purpose tool, but not too expensive.

Don't know the brand, but I bought one new at Woocraft in 2000. Still use it on almost every thing I build. I'm not a hand plane guy at all, too much work for me to keep them working right. But this little edge trimmer as I call it is a real time saver.

Grizzly sells their version called the Slick Plane for $17.95. I have used mine for years with good results.

I had one for a while, but concluded that, for my work, a block plane is easier and more flexible.
