Ray's contraption museum.  : this is a K -11 international cutawl , it can cut / chisel and saw pretty much anything . Got this a weeks ago , these were used extensively before CNC cutout machines took over the pattern and die cutout industry . Did a short restoration ,including making my own set of blades and chisels ., also milled two round knobs out of aluminum stock and taped and polished .the motor bearings were locked up , removed and soaked in krill a few days and installed new carbon motor brushes .this things cuts bad to da bone !

Would this be used on fabric? never seen one before?

 the manual says it cuts most anything from wood ,metal fabrics cardboard ,plastics ect,  mostly used for thin materials up to 3/4" or less and you use the recommended chisel ,blade ect . I still rolling around ideas for a project to put it to use

Stage technicians used to, and may still, love these things.  They're always having to make strange shapes from thin stock for the stage sets, and these are apparently the cat's pjs for that kind of work.

Is it a rotary tool like a router or does it nibble, saw or knife?
