Northwoods

Bought a nice older plain steel double ended Crescent wrench yesterday (just under 3/4" thick) and would like some info.  Forged into handle:

8-10 in.  CRESCENT  DROP FORGED/STEEL

MADE BY CRESCENT TOOL CO.  JAMESTOWN/NHY.U.S.A.

What I am really curious about is the forged in markings just below the adjustment wheel on the big end:  H8-10-6

I don't see forged in markings on other Crescent wrenches.  I can imagine that H represents the double ended style, and 8-10 represents the size, but could the 6 be a date mark?
Any thoughts?

I've never seen a date marking on a Crescent wrench.

I found these Friday at an estate sale. I finally figured out that the stamping meant that the wrench was formerly the property of the local water company, EBMUD.
