That's a good one Lyndon, congrats! I've got one marked Hoffritz also, as well as a Bonsa and an Ibberson. I'm almost certain they were all actually produced by the same firm.....although I don't know which firm that would be. Probably some unknown firm in Solingen Germany made them, and then the bigger firms bought them wholesale and rebranded them I figure.

Often, on a spring-loaded pair of shears, that curve keeps your finger in place.

Is the end of the pruning shear handle sharp?  I would guess it is for use as a grafting froe.

It looks pretty good. I think that such an instrument is very useful in gardening. Otherwise, you have to use the services of specialists. I don't like that because I love taking care of my garden and backyard myself. Right now, I'm interested in a lawn that's going to be awesome. I can feel it. It's not a bad tool, but I prefer a more modern one. They have more comfortable handles. If you're going to garden, you're going to need a bunch more stuff. For example, a lopper is a tool for cutting thick branches. It has both blades sharpened on it. For those who own shrubs and trees, this is an indispensable tool. Hoffritz is more suitable for working with small greens in a small vegetable garden in the yard or on a mini-farm indoors.
