A Proto 3/4" drive set fell into my lap the other day (and it weighs a ton), and I want your help in evaluating it.
Ratchet, breaker bar, three extensions, swivel joint, and 22 sockets--7/8" through 2 7/8"
Red heavy metal box with side handles and hardwood wooden floor trolley.
Some of the sockets are Proto Los Angeles--so that will help to date it.
All parts are in good working condition.  I have not cleaned them up yet, but the rat clicks smooth and I will clean and lube it, of course.

What should I ask for it?  And what should I expect to get?

Don't worry about nailing yourself down; give me a ballpark estimate.

Wow!  That set is really something.

Mine does not have the Pebble components, of course.  It is a user/collector set.

Something to think about.

All 3/4" domestic sets have a lot of value.  I bought some in June. One if the tools was a 3/4" x 8" extension, -V- series Craftsman. (I was using it for my 1960 Craftsman collection.)  They wanted $30, but they  got to a more reasonable price when I showed them new was $29.95.

So I would assume at least triple the price you would get for a 1/2" Proto set.

The size of the potential buyer group is smaller. I imagine the hardest part is finding the right buyer.

The HF set is less than $80.00. So folks looking on CL  or FB really don't know the difference between Proto and the cheap stuff. It's a tough market for 3/4" in my area. I'm not sure if you would get $ 500.00  for that set here.
I think your best bet would be to Ebay it. Find out how much shipping is before you list it.
