Jimmy Joiner

Hello, I'm a new member to this forum.
Im a tool collector and have a carpentry and  joinery background.
Looking forward to learn and hopefully contribute at some stage.
I collect 19th century Four Fold Rules, 19th and early 20th century Hand saws. I also have an interest in mid 20th century Australian hand planes.

Kind regards jimmy

Hi Jimmy, welcome to Tool Talk, home of the nicest bunch of guys on any forum...and some of the most knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask questions, you won't get any "snarky" answers here, just good information, usually.

Glad to see you here Jimmy.   Welcome from Ohio.

Hello and welcome from British Columbia Canada.
Love to see some pictures of your saws.

Jimmy Joiner

Hi Gibsontool, the photograph I've taken is too large for this site, I'll look at reducing it somehow, I have Disston 7, 8's, 12, and no 9 backsaw, also some English saws, R Sorby, Eben Parker, Johnson. Oldest would be the Sorby or 7 1865-71. Loads of late 19th- early 20th scews including Simonds.
Thanks for you interest. Jimmy

Hello, Jimmy. Nice group of tools!!  Who is the maker of the level? And the small saw, lower left? Thanks, Lou

Hi Lou, the small saw bottom left is the Disston no 9 backsaw. The level bottom right it a cast iron, Davis. Little tiny cast level top left is s Stanley.
What do you collect Lou?
Jimmy

Very nice looking saws and those type of Davis levels are a work of art.

Northwoods

Welcome to the site, Jimmy.  I'm from Kansas and I need some help.
Tell me; how can a collector limit his interest like you do?  Mine goes wild--all over the place.  And all over the house.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

Gday Northwoods, let me say I have three beautiful daughters that limit my disposable currently.....
once they fly the coop it'll be open slather!!
