I'm an addicted old iron admirer and user currently building and provisioning an off-grid, off-road, water-access-only timber frame bunkhaus and werkshop. (Faux German spellings are deliberate - I'm a proud descendant of a bail-jumping revolutionary from south of the Black Forest.)  Main interest is in timber-framing using hand tools, but I was seduced by the world of early electric tools when I made (and won) the only bid on a DeWalt GE radial arm saw at a NYS auction.  Side interests are Adirondack architecture, woodworking, pre-80's music and fishing.  I'm a pre-boomer and appreciate things that are older than I am . . .
