Hello, Does anyone recognize this plane? I am going to try and clean it up a little, as of right now, there are no visible markings. Some unusual features, the raised boss for the (broken ) tote, the lips at heel and toe, the location of the front knob, and a very odd looking frog mechanism, no lateral. Thanks, Lou

Hello, I did uncover an L Bailey Cap Iron, and a Stanley Rule & Level Iron, but that's it. The frog actually closes up a lot of the large opening. Beginning to think this may be a Frankenstein model

Hello, Mike . I cleaned all of the crud off the adjusting nut, but no markings. The knurled nut is brass, and so is the yoke. Looking at the raised piece below the tote, ( second photo) I noticed that this was also brass. I didn't see a weld , or a braze. So I looked at it from front to back, and I figured it must be friction fit. Sure enough, I was able to tap the brass piece toward the heel, ( 3rd photo) and it released!!! The brass piece is dovetailed to piece on the casting. No sign of a weld, so the piece on the casting must have been machined into the rough casting?? Regards, Lou
