yet another Bernard pliers

bernard made many different pliers, I have a few different ones.

this one is quite a 'multi-tool'

Looks like those could set the snaps on old covertible tops, or jackets.  Cant envision what all those others do.  I would have grabbed it, for sure.

There is another company name on the head.  I believe that tool is one made by an aftermarket company that modified one of the Schollhorn Bernard platforms for a specialty use.  I have seen a lot of modified ones over the years.  I also think that Schollhorn made their fair share of types too.

I have seen the same thing done with Starrett end nippers too.  I had a bunch of typewriter repair pliers years ago that used that platform.

I always thought that Bernard would have done the modifications, under contract, to buyer's specs. I am pretty sure that is the way Utica Tools operated, I guess it would be Custom, or, Special order!!
