This post seems like it may be spam to get us to join their group.  I joined to see what it was.  It is interesting, but I did not look far enough back to find any tools.  There was not much that interested me personally, but I think some on here would probably enjoy it.  One of the rules was no snarky comments, but it seems to be broken a lot.

wv, you're brave to join and check it out.  A lot of us will have nothing to do with Facebook.  Some FB sites will allow viewing content without joining.  Those I will sometimes view.  My wife has a Facebook account.  It helps her keep in touch with friends and family.  That's about the only worthwhile value.

I disagree completely with your denegration of FB.

Lots of crapola there, of course, but there are many, many good tool sites.

I'm not badmouthing Facebook in general - just sayin' I won't create an account only to see a Facebook page.  Like I said my wife has an account.  Groups that allow viewers are great.  Groups that don't allow viewers unless they have an account - not so great.
Sorry - don't want to raise a ruckus.

I'm with Al. If someone posts a Facebook link that I can see, I'll check it out. I doubt that I will ever join. My wife belongs so she can see pictures of the grandkids that my daughter posts. She almost never posts.

Most  fb groups have gone private because of the  complete nonsense of allowing any idiot to post or comment with out being a member of that group.  Talk about aiding spammers!
I do run a fb vintage tool group but this is the only mention I will make. I don't believe in advertising on other  forums or groups.
Now my questions you can see my albums on my own shop page? It should be public, you should be able to see all the pics but not comment  or post. fb is easy to upload pics, although you have to  be the one who organizes them.
Oh the link  should be my signature, I haven't counted  the number of pics in awhile, I've dozed off cause there are so many!
A bunch of pics (5000+) of tools and projects in our shoppe

I "admin" the MVWC Facebook group & am a member of two others -- under a totally different "persona" I hardly ever look at the "personal" stuff in that Facebook account -- only materials in those three groups.  Of course I'm on the lookout for materials I can use in the Missouri Valley Wrench Club Newsletter, and those groups are good for that.
