Today's estate sale buys.  Obstruction wrenches and Xcelite nut drivers.  All SAE sizes, but those two extra long drivers are special.  I don't think they make that size now. Westcraft Grip Loc pliers , Utica needle nose pliers, a Black Hawk 3/4 to 1/2 adapter, two 3 inch 1/4 Craftsman extensions.

I've never seen those long drivers before, I'd call that a great score.

When I was young, those were "muffler wrenches," and came only in the sizes needed for American exhaust systems, but "obstruction wrench" is a more useful description.

Used on exhaust manifold bolts, especially Ford, among other things , such as starter bolts
Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most

and a paper mate? pen

Actually a gold Cross pen and a Colibri pen with a Lowe's logo.  I got them as part of a 3 for $1 deal with the little Craftsman screwdriver. Dad always used Cross pens.  I have fond memories.  Plus they are virtually indestructible unless you get.them wet.

What would you say of I said each one was 75 cents?

Thanks Lostmind and Bill!  Great info.  I didn't work on Fords much.  Dad didn't like them.  First of these I have.seen in the wild and I found them both on the same day.

Very good picks there.  Working on cars, was never aware of Vaco or Exelite tools,  but have since been  educated by my ladyfriend.  The obstruction wrenches worked well on flathead six manifold bolts too.   Been holding off any tool buying urges lately, but yesterday purchased a Crescent adjustable repair parts box.

I saw a similar pair on a You Tube video a few moths back.  I never expected to see them in the wild.  The  loose nut drivers were 75 cents each regardless of size.  The sets were $10-15.  All the numerous sets were Chinese.  Although dirty, all of the Xcelite cost me $14 including the long pair.

If each of those long drivers was 75 cents Id say that the years best find.
