Can anyone ID these gas pliers.  They are not marked.

Are they really gas pliers, is my thought.  Notice they also have the Button patent wire cutter slot.

I'm not arguing the ID, just wondering since they look so different -- strongly off-set, very thin cross section.
Hmph.  Wish I'd found them, whatever they are.

Branson, I thought gas pliers from the small and large, for want of a better word, openings.  I was puzzled by the wire cutter and thinnest of the head/handles.  They belong to a friend and I've drooled over them since I first saw them.

Probably won't help but heres a similar pair without the offset. They are German and marked (H&R). Screwdriver blade on one handle and do have the wire cutter slot and super thin cross section on working end. They have an additional mark stamped in handle but I'm not familiar with it. Just thought they were similar except fot the offset.

Here are better shots of the pliers.

Bicycle cone pliers also came with wire cutters and screwdriver ended handles...

This is from a 1916 catalog, maker not stated..
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I think you might have hit a home run Rusty.  Thanks.

Here's a picture of another variation from my collection. It has a screwdriver on the end of one handle and a wrench on the other. 8" long it is marked "D. R. G. M."  "15055" "Germany" with what looks like "H & M" in a diamond. D. R. G. M. is a German abbreviation that translates to German government registered design.

Guess I am warped. My first thought was electricians pliers.  Wire cut slot and pliers for wire nuts. Maybe I have been repurposing tools too long. LOL

Early this month I posted a what'i't that I thought was a pair of gas pliers .  Turned out to be a pair of cone pliers.  I found another pair and this time they are marked but with straight handles.
