Looking for Irwin 11" screwdrivers.
Preferred if only marked IRWIN  on  wooden handle ( see left side of picture) but also accepted if stamped on shank.
Tip must be in good condition.

Yes, this is the military size, and need them to assemble jeep toolkits.
No shipping outside of U.S.A. is needed.
Paypal payment preferred, but not mandatory.

Don't know how the 11" is determined?  I have this one marked on shaft as pictured.

Looking for USA made ratchets-all sizes-drives and lengths  also S-K SuperKrome wrenches ditto.  Like to trade vs buy run it past me-nothing is cut in stone!

lucakiki

The length is the total overall length from tip to tip. What is the total length of yours?

Both these have the Gov. stock# 41-S-1076, and 44-S-1076 making them both WWII era.  Both at 11 inches.   They are for sale.

tips are severely grinded, just like the fifth from right in my picture.
Long discussions on g503 have not solved the doubts on the government marking being post war or war time.

At this stage in the game, verifying would be difficult, but with the (41), and (44) numbers on these, and the gov. propensity to date things,  I'd feel safe saying these were war time.

The real story is the 41-S-1076  is anyway the military stocking number, but there is no  safe evidence that said number was actually stamped on shank before the end of the war.
A famous Willys Overland drawing does have a note about said number needing to be permanently stamped on the tool, but this note has a 1952 date...
That is the reason of endless discussions, and a conclusion has not been yet reached.
Anyway, gimme the total for them all, including the 10 $ shipping, and will send you paypal. OK?

I got something close to that but it has a #5 stamped by the tip on both sides and has wings in the middle.
Apparently I am to challenged to get a picture on here of it.I cant find a name on it anywhere :(
It is what it is.

Could be a Tobrin made screwdriver, but from memory size 5  is a lttle longer.

John, just for general information, 41 is not a date, but rather a category ( hand tools)in their listing stockage sistem.
So we have quite a bunch of tools with the 41 number.

Exemple 41-W- 486   is a crescent type adjustable, were W stands for wrench, and 486 is the number. W 487 would be the bigger size of same.
41-S-1076   is S,  screwdriver, 1076....
41-S-1078   is S, screwdriver, but bigger size...
We find a bunch of different letters after the 41: H for hammer or handle, P for pliers,C for compressor, etc. etc.

Dan, depending on price, I would buy it even if longer than the ones I  advertised for.
Let me know.Thanks.
