That's one of the ugliest things I've seen.  Roughly and inexpertly forged, and/or slapped into shape for some job I can't really imagine easily.  Breaking up large chunks of something?  A Fred Flintstone ice crusher?

Nah it wasn't the smoke free home, it was the "gently cleaning in soapy water" that sold it!  Why is it that anything that has an hole in the middle is called a hammer!? I think that even  its maker rejected it, I don't think it ever was handled, can't see how you could fit, let alone wedge tight a handle in the eye of that pick?! The mind boggles!
