There=a specific place
They're=contraction of they are.

If you are gonna spam us with sales pitches, at least use good grammar in your sales pitch.

Oh yeah, you can't use this forum for sales without a price or value in kind for each item.

have a good day.

Yes, it is.
I have messaged him about selling guidelines with an opportunity to fix his posts. If he doesn't, they are gone.
Looks like he has nothing for sale on Ebay right now.

I started to reply this morning, "I have a bunch of stickers that you my have for the cost of a stamp"....but then decided there was no sense in being rude and calling the guy out :)

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I know it isn't my place, but I get a little defensive with people that only register to try to sell us something. Some of us have been active here for a while, and want to protect the sanctity of this forum.

Sorry, Papaw. I didn't mean to pounce on him.

He needed it. I haven't booted him out, but his "Goodbye" probably means he won't be back.

The thing that I enjoy most about this group is the social interaction. The tools are a common ground for us to meet on. The occasional trading is not the focus. It is the result of the interplay. The history and background of tools is far more important to us than buying and selling. My thanks to all of you for keeping it that way. Pounce on Keykeeper!

+1.

That sort of thing has long been a major pet peeve of mine. Frankly, I don't think members with fewer than, say, 50 posts should be permitted to sell things. That would take care of many of these opportunists...

I second that, I do not like the idea of people using this site that way although I never did get a chance to read this particular posters initial comment.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

I have little sympathy for people who only show up looking for a free venue, trying to sell something.

I wondered about the guys pinup art though? I think most all of us love pinup art.
Wonder where he got the stickers he was hustling?
I doubt he made them himself. Didn't seem quite smart enough for that.

I don't like to rain on anyone's parade BUT the strip across the top of our home page explains the reason for people wanting to use the for sale thread . I personally posted here first looking for craftsman tools. I received an answer from a member explaining the rules I felt that I was welcomed here so I overstayed .  bob w. ps that was over a month ago   LOL
