Today's Find - 30MAR12

For the Plomb fans among us, here is one of today's finds: a late-model 10-inch Plomb Stillson-style pipe wrench. It's a number 810.  After I got it cleaned up, this wrench appeared unused. There are bosses on the upper jaw piece and below the lower jaw: Y-9-7.  If the idea was to make matching up the parts easier, I understand.  However, if it means something else I sure would like to know about it.  I don't find many Plomb tools this far east.

I think it means it was made in the 9th month of the year 1947 ; )
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Wow two in two days. I posted one on mar 28. They are identical down to the same date code Y-9-7. Yours looks like the paint is like new. Nice find
