Is this a saw-set?

My friend has this thing, and all I could figure is a saw set. No markings on it at all, but it's pretty intricate. That's a sheet of 8.5" X 11" paper it's sitting on, for scale.

Not the best pictures, sorry.

Thanks, jimwrench. I thought it was, but wasn't sure. There's no visible mfg. marks on it, but it seems well used.

I once knew a guy who started a saw set collection and webpage.
Unfortunately, we lost him to an accident.

But he was up to well over 200 different saw sets.

rusty

Most likely a Morrill #1 or #1B, but the wingnut on the top should be a knurled nut in that case.

The Pre numbered Morrill's have a wingnut on topm but the handle has a jog in it.

Later ones have different anvils...

(The 1B is for fine teeth, it is otherwise identical, so it's hard to tell from the pic)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
