My wrench collecting is regressing back into my 1940's childhood.  This little diecast 3 7/16" doe wrench was provided long ago in some other kid's A. C. Gilbert Erector Set, not mine..

Way Cool Bob, I've never seen one before. I have a thirties or 40's tin box set that I have had for twenty five years or so. Nice score!

The two Erector sets I have, only have a simple stamped wrench.   Good find, considering how tiny it is, now, do you have an idea on age?  I would have grabbed that one real quick, too.

I believe that wrench is from the "newer" sets from the 50s-60's or later.

Wow!  Talk about childhood memories!  I don't know whatever happened to mine.  My set had stamped wrenches.  A couple of other kids on my block had them, too, and we would combine sets to build things. (maybe that's what happened to mine...)  That would have been about 1955, 56.

I somehow lost the wrench(s) for mine instantly, probably went out with the christmas paper...
Do you know what a pain it is to build things with a pair of pliers and a slotted screwdriver?

It was a gret educational tool tho, now when I open a box of chinese furniture with 800 parts and no directions, I know exactly what to do ;P
