HI folks,
    I just bought a double spokeshave (one part is flat, the other blade is concave)....  it reads, "A.G. Bachelber (?)."  Anyone have any info?

Only one reference, A.G. BACHELDER , Lowell,MA, Cast Warranted

A.G.Bachelder of Lowell holds a 1853 patent for a countersink tho, so your spokeshave likely is rather old..

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I can tell you it's not an uncommon pattern, if it's a metal-bodied shave.  Lots of makers did this.  I've owned one; awkward creature to use.
