I noticed the detent ball was sticking on my 40970 SK 1/4" ratchet was sticking and wouldn't hold a socket. I had just had it apart for cleaning and oiling because it was the one I had listed for the giveaway. I still had a week before someone would win the ratchet but I was a little worried about the situation. I called SK customer service and got my parts today at no charge! I was prepared to pay for the parts but they didn't give me a chance. I was told it would be mailed to me in 7 to 10 days and that was that. My package arrived today and I would like to say thanks! I will recommend and buy SK whenever the opportunity comes along, without hesitation. We hear and see so much about the extent companies are going to to save a nickel, it is great to know that sometimes the opposite is also true. The warranty is good!
I did write to Nolatoolguy and explained that there might be a little delay and he graciously agreed be patient while I got things squared away. It looks like the ratchet will be in the mail very soon. All's well that ends well.

I aggree with SKs service. Ive only had to deal with them twice but both times it was free of charge to me and very great service over the phone. I am very pleased with them as a company and love there products. I both use and collect SK so it works out great for me. Overall there products are well priced for what you get. I highly recomend them to anyone.

And Kxxr Ime not worried ime sure it will get here when time allows.
And I'm proud to be an American,

Agree with the great service from SK.  I was looking for parts to an old 3/4 drive ratchet.  I wanted to buy what i needed, but they sent me a rebuild kit for free.

I've seen them (and a couple others) have customer service agent "monitoring" some of the online boards to catch problems.

Yeah, I wish.

Sadly, it's automated, google has a quiet little back door search engine interface that companies can sign up for that tells them when their company name is mentioned...

So all those folks get to read is whatever was said about their company, and only if it says certain things....

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I held head of security positions throughout my career.  Without all the blah blah of past responsibilities I'll just say - I understand the need for "intelligence".

I left the 'company' with a 2.9m annual budget for intelligence services.  Part of the services from that budget; staffed personnel monitoring the Internet for customer complaints, executive threats or PR nightmares, trademark infringements, intrusion or hacking discussion, company account number constructs - as examples.  We worked directly with the office of the CEO getting full support in resolving any issues that surfaced.  While there was automation (and contractual vendor services), it was the staff that made the business function effective.  Sometimes a business process is just to critical for googling :-)
