Picked up at a garage sale today a "perfection sabre saw" Made in the USA.  It is powered by a drill, I also have an old skill saw powered the same way.  Does anyone know where I can find some info on these tools

I have a "saws all" reciprocating saw that is an attachment to a drill using the drill as a driver.  It is unmarked and I've yet to determine who made it.  I know it is dated prior to 1975 based on where I found it.

I'll be watching with interest.

I've got probably a dozen different brands of sabre saws and reciprocating saws that are intended to be drill-powered.  Most connect only to the chuck, via a stub shaft, but some are made to attach to specific models of drill.  The amount of variation among them is incredible . . .  I have one "Perfection" saber saw, which I cataloged as, "Aluminum housing, steel cover, arm, and shoe (no tilt), black painted wood top handle".  It looks like the casting was cleaned up on a belt sander.  Tooling looks identical to one labeled "Port-A-Jig".  But I have no other information on either one of these.  Can you post a photo?

Very cool!  I have a Black & Decker drill-powered bandsaw, and I've run across mention of another brand (can't recall it at the moment, and I'm woefully behind on transcribing my notes, so there's no telling when I'll come across it again).  I had NOT seen this one, though, and it is earlier than the first conversion tool that I knew about (I have a saber saw device, drill-powered, from the late 1930s).  Thanks, Rusty!

I got another water pump in a tool box at last saturdays auction.
Hook a hose on each end, hook a drill to it and squeeze the trigger.
Its the 3rd one I've gotten and have yet to try one to see if they work.

Those drill run water-pumps work great! just the rubber impeller gets brittle when too old..

I like the drill powered paintcan shaker, use it all the time, works great!!
also the drill mounted press for 1/4" & 1/2" drill motors, very portable.
the clamped bench mount for grinding wheel work,
& drill guides for angle or round stock.
also mounted one under table with hole for chuck makes a drum sanding table.
gota digup my; Drill, Jigsaw & orbital sander combo for photos...

Very portable for on-the-job.

I put one of the drill powered water pumps to work a couple years ago.  We got 12" of rain in less than 24 hrs, and needless to say our basement sprung a little leak where our drain tile wasn't near.  Was going good with wet dry vac until early the next morning the power went off.  I rounded up the cordless drills and batteries and used them for a quite a while (not a big leak).  Fortunately the rain quite soon after the power.  To make a long story short, it helped.

I have the Craftsman hedge trimmer & the jig saw attachment,  neither works very well, but the intentions was great.  I've used the pumps over the years and feel that they work as they should.  They do work very well to start a siphon action if the inlet is higher than the outlet.
