No maker's markings.  8" long.  Has what appears to be old #1 gasket sealer on the tip.  I can guess how it WAS used, but I'm not at all sure that was it's purpose.

Just a guess but how about for instaling windshields etc. the old ones that had the heavy rubber  gasket that held the window in.

I got a home made one that looks like this.  Somebody had turned a screwdriver into a paint can opener.  Mine works good.

If this one was "rigged" by PO it's escaping my eye uncleaned.  I need to clean it now and see what more I can find.

<shrugs shoulders>  I dunno!  Never worked with Babbitt except in bridling the horse head of a well.
