I am sorting my  boxes o stuff.

These were in the body tool box, but some are not body tools I think.

Which doesn't belong and why?

The first one is a French pattern Saddlers hammer, I would think that the firth one is a silver/metal smithing hammer? Number two looks like a engineer's  cross pein ( very Hella like?)

Second from left is a cross peen turning hammer, probably champion or heller made. 64longstep has been looking for one of those for a while, I believe he posted in the wanted section for one a while back.

Last hammer from left on top, before the smaller round/square face hammers looks like a book binders hammer. Another one not seen for sale a lot. Most people think they are cobblers hammers or autobody hammers.

The first one, I agree with anglesmith, looks like a saddlers hammer to me also. I've also seen similar somewhere else, can't remember where though.

Everything else looks like autobody hammers and dollies.

I agree with the consensus so far.
I think the third from left may be a form of saw doctor's dogshead hammer.
All of the hammers in the picture excepting the autobody hammers are scarce and have considerable value.

No the third from the left is called a donkey dick, I guess it depends on what part of the country you  are slingin mud though

Third left, I'd call it a Bumping hammer, used for panel beating or as you say body work! we certainly are expanding our language knowledge as well as our tool knowledge here.

Martin still makes the third from left they call it a fender bumper hammer. The three far right are bumping hammers for sure.

The Old Forge catalog on ebay (in the heads up thread) shows a fender bumping hammer ...

the 3rd.one is definitely a body tool..I know..I was beating out the roof of a rollover Volvo when I turned to see who was talking to me and misses the car and knocked my self OUT.that's when I was young and so smart?? We called it a goose neck hammer.the aluminum handle is the back part of a flex body file assy.  Larry
