Paid $5 for the German Chest drill and the complete Auto Kit wrench set WITH original screw post and cap!!  The photo of the Snap On/Proto/V series bits and the Diamond Calk 4x6 double header adjustable set me back $15.  The double header had a $3 price tag on it.  I was gonna try and gentile him down to $2, but then thought better of it.....

Also snagged a pair of Blue Bird II pliers for a dollar because I was a fellow "vendor".  Sorry can't do photos for a few days while we upgrade our PC to the 21st century.  The downstairs computer has no image re-sizer.  Be patient....I'm learning how slowly....

Auto Kit wrench set complete, AND a double header adjustable for less than ten bucks?   What caliber of hand gun were you packing?   Darn, i'm still looking for a double ender, just one, any size, just to have, carry around, in my pocket along with my buckeye, wishing stone etc...

I go to those things and find last years plastic Christmas ornaments and used tinsel...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Well, the first full day of selling went pretty well.  No hard numbers to report (Like I'd tell the truth with the IRS listening in yes I'm paranoid), but a steady stream of buyers looking for a lot of different stuff.  The dollar table was just as busy and the other three.  The pace was more laid back than the World's Largest Garage Sale in May,where everyone smoked in the doors at 7AM sharp and they had 7 hours to get what they could get.  I had some folks making 6/8/10 passes through the 4 tables I had set up and my neighbors on either side of me were more than happy to watch the tables while I went to the plastic potty or sniffing around for tool deals.  Living only 10 miles from the site allowed me to go home at night and extract specific needs and return the next day with what they wanted and I'll do the same again tonight.

I spent about $60 today from maybe 4 or 7 different vendors(lots of folks selling tools, but I was the only one selling ONLY tools), but one old boy in particular was ripe for the picking.  He had bucket after bucket after flatbed trailer load of crap with tools mixed in, shade tree selling at its FINEST!!!  A treasure hunter's delight.   I'll come up with a complete list if I can stay awake tonight, but I dropped $42 with him on the first metal vegetable bin load of tools and came away with a MAC fuel pressure gauge, 3 or 4 cherry SK ratchets, a really old Blue Point metal case with really unusual screw extractor stuff,sockets/ wrenches, you name it.  Then I'd find another seller where I'd buy a dollar McKaig Hatch pair of pliers.  The Saturday AM arrival to my south had a decent stash of tools too and I scored an old Blue Point metric bolt gauge with removable brass thread pitch  gauge that folded out like feeler gauge blades..  Gave $4 for that little plumb.  Found a 36" Trimo Pipe Wrench, but he wanted $15 for it, and will see if I can get it for $10 tomorrow.  He also had a non rusty Drawtite 2.5" hitch for a pickup truck that I think I can get for $20.  Only found two pieces of Plomb, a really old school DOE and a socket in the bottom of one of Shade Tree's buckets.  Went back to his place late in the day and he had brought out more buckets of stuff and I tore through them too.  A few V series C-man rats, sockets, and 2 decent 10R US Vise Grips for another $6.

Needless to say, this makes up fro the weak showing last weekend and I'll have a fresh batch of stuff to sell at the Waterloo Flea Market in September.  My wife thinks she knows how to get the resizing to work on the downstairs computer now, so maybe late i can get photos up.  On the way home, I stopped at the house where I had tried to make contact all year, as their garage sale hinted of many old tools from the husband's grandfather and the lady never got back to me and I could never catch them home.  I asked if they'd gotten to the tools yet, and she still had my name and number in the cash box from last fall.  I'm still first right of refusal for this stuff, but they are moving in the near future, so I may help them dig out the tools.  They sold me a $5 eyeglass wear display that had mega holes drilled in it and a mirror on top for vanity purposes, I guess.  The metal pegs were threaded  and could hold up 50# a piece easily.  The plywood and veneer were really stout.  I'll take it home tomorrow.  Well, time to work on the image software.
