I picked up an interesting group of tools after work today, from a CL listing.
Neat vintage box, box joints all over, and what he listed as wood carving tools.
So there are rasps, and stainless gouges(I thinks), and these other tools.

Interchangeable blades, some looking handmade, that fit into these handles.
Some show S E DEXTER, these are newer. The older ones have no brand.
Interestingly, the cut is on the exterior of the blade, seemingly away from yourself.

Google is not helping me with finding any data on these, any info out there ?

Thanks

Brian L.

Not Dexter, but similar.  I think Dexter, Hyde, & Red Devil had the same types of product lines.  Some folks also refer to these as marking or mill knives , used to scribe a line closer to a straight edge than a pencil.  If your handle is hollow all the way thru, this is what new blades may look like.
