Found strange shaped tool box at Goodwill store. It is marked Eagle Sheet Metal Co. Chicago, Il. Not sure if it had special purpose or just a strange shaped tool box.

Eagle is listed as a maker of metal signs and suck, tho I guess there is no reason they couldn't decide to make a few toolboxes. very interesting and unusual shape.

Can't date it, company Inc'd 1902, still around in the 1980's...
Silver finish was popular beginning of the 70's....

Bet no one else on the block has one.....:)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

When you said bread box, it got me thinking. Since it has a handle and a small tray inside top on left, it may be a sewing box. Most sewing boxes were wooden and then plastic these days, in the 30's steel was probably used too.

My WAG with the accessory compartment is that it is a Power Tool Box. Skil was in Chicago.
