Does anyone know how to date a wooden Ohio smooth plane. My dad just picked one up and I would like to try and get a year for it. I'll try to get some pics up next time I'm at work.

Not sure how to determine a date on Ohio tool planes , but I would love to see a picture of what you found.  I know Ohio tools was in business from 1823-1920, but that is about all I have.  I do have a Roger Smith reprint of a c. 1910 Catalog No 23.  Maybe what you have would match one of the illustrations.
