winds at steady 50 mph gusts at 60 mph trees are sideways. covers off everything , bungee cords snapped. Raining harder than a broken 6 inc pipe. I think the world is coming to the end. The mountain and my house are shaking. power /generator off/on .bob w.

Hope you stay safe,  That description almost sounds like the weather we have on the Oregon coast every winter.  The only thing I don't like about the weather here is the damn wind, I hate wind.

Mel  If you don't like wind take a detour around Iowa on your next trip east.....and Bob, shain yourself to that pipe in the basement.  It'll be the last thing up-rooted...usually.... be safe and be smaryt about your situation and we'll listen intently to the war stories after it's all over....

The satellite view today reminded me of Hurricane Andrew, just menacing the Florida penninsula, very scary.

10;30 now wind still over 50 mph with gusts of 75 generator working well the whole mountain is shaking along with the house/I am going to get some sleep and relieve momma in a couple hours . we go not wamt to both go asleep the same time in case we hear from the kids( we check every couple hours by compuyer or phone)  bob w.
