 I guess if you get the patent number within 2 it counts. They almost got patent number right.
Anyway this device has been riding around in back of my truck for a few months and I decided to see what it did. Not an oil can,which was my first guess. Ever use one? Can't believe it would be too satisfactory for its intended usage.

Perfume atomizer for those stinky and hard to reach areas?  Just a WAG...

Please tell us what it really is, if not an oiler.

Sprayer for various liquid. Air tip for putting air in car tires snaps in on end of handle. We used something like that to spray mold release in molds.

 Actual patent number ends in 9 rather than 8 as stamped. Seems to have been intended as air brush but think liquid sprayer might have been more descriptive.

  Had one on the ranch & used to fill it with gas & wash off oil & grease.

We would fill it with degreaser-kerosene-soap, and spray down an area before power washing.   Was great for degreasing an engine, or transmission case.    I think the can holds a couple of pints.
