Hi,

Just joined. Started collecting BAHCO adjustable spanners a few months back. I had 5 of them from my dad who was an engineer and thought I should get a few more.

Good to hear from anyone in a similar situation

Bought this group of old wrenches going cheap on EBay from Melbourne because I thought one was Bahco. It was not disclosed as such, and rust covered the marking. Fortunately I was right.
Its a late Series 1 (1892-1915) as it has parallel sides however shaft is thinner at the end, dates it as between 1910-1915,  The shaft hole is a bit uneven and has a different chamfer on each side so I think its un-original or a modified hole. The last of these had a shaft hole but it was punched. Cleaned up well with rust converter and steel wool. My oldest and yet cheapest to date...

Some more from my collection for you to look at:
The smallest (Bacho No 2) is from  year 1903 - 1910. It has a tapered shaft
The middle is another Bacho No. 3 with no hole and is from the year 1910 -1915.

And here are two big ones...
A Bahco 86 from around 1950 (45 deg head) - 24 inch and the big one is a Bahco 87 (30") more modern (1984-1992) which has a 22.5 deg head. They are next to an old 4" Bahco 69 for size contrast

Welcome John!  I wish I were educated in Bahco enough to appreciate the details of your collection....but seems you've had an impact in making Papaw jealous.  Its fair to say Bahco will stick out if I run across one in the wild now.  Thanks for sharing, and again Welcome!
