Made some knives and letter openers just for fun.   The ones with the marble sell very well at events I attend.   The second to bottom opener is made from very old rebar.

Very nice work -- I wish I had the equipment to learn how to do that.

Way to go John!!
I had no idea you were careening down this slope. Outstanding!!
keep em coming!

The D grip number has an interesting/graceful blade shape.
The trapped marbles are cute as all getout.
How long is the blade on the wood handle model?

The wood handled knife has a six and one half inch blade.  When forging down a piece of steel, often the shape of the blade just comes forth.   The ones with marbles are basically letter openers.   Been smithing semi seroiusly for a good 15 years.   Hope to move my hot stuff from the shop to another building here, this summer.   Makes me nervous to have a fire going, in a building with wood shavings, tires, oil cans, etc.  Like to get some more elbow room.   I live on an old farm site, so spreading out is no problem.
