Hammer homemade??

The handle is home brew, sure nice to look at.  What is the chrome Tee handle?  A lathe tool maybe?  I don't believe I've seen a Goodwrench adjustable, the jaw on that looks *different*?  Pickins are slim here in the winter also.

I have to think that the hammer is mass produced. It does have a home made / craftish look to it, but I just think that if someone went to the trouble of making the thing, they would have wiped away the excess glue where the handle is attached. It may have been slapped together by hand, but not by someone who cared much about it.

Apparently, some of you were not aware that up here in the northern climate, antique tools hibernate. If you are clever, you can trap some in their basement lairs at indoor estate sales and thrift shops. I do not believe the old axiom 'Let sleeping tools lie'.  Keep warm and keep hunting.
