What the heck is a giveaway?  Please, anybody, explain.

1930

If you want the tool say you want it, they have a drawing and if your name is pulled you get it free of charge and then its your turn to put a tool up for grabs ( flat stamped steel wrenches only allowed though ) and you hold the drawing, pull someone name and you send it to them at your shippind cost and it keeps going.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

So, you can continue in the giveaway program as long as your supply of flat wrenches holds out?  Seems a little strange.

Papaw

The way the giveaway is being done has changed. We now have a list of volunteer givers going, and will have one each week.
I started doing this a long time ago as a way to excite members, get more participation, and to spread some of the tools out among members. I called it "Papaw's Crazy Giveaway", and it was quite popular before the "Crash of 2011".
No one is required to join in, and no one one is required to give anything away. Most of us have extra tools, duplicates, or even unwanted tools, so we don't have a dearth of offerings.

The rules change with every question about the rules. If a guy is looking for flat wrenches, he tries to get the next give away to be flat wrenches. It could be perfect handle screwdrivers, alligator wrenches or even Craftsman sockets (insert big grin smiley if they worked)

Just for that Eddie, I'm gonna put a bunch of crapsman sockets in the kitty when I do a giveaway!! ROFL.

No, seriously folks, the giveaway is voluntary, and whatever someone puts up is their choice. I've seen all kinds of different tools go up, from woodworking, to classic hand tools, to even newer things.

I encourage everyone to participate.
