New to forum here and have an item I need help identifying.  It was found in a 'gadget' drawer in an old house...
All ideas welcomed.
Thanks!

What is name on it? Does handle unscrew or snap off? Is it plastic or aluminum?

I know in the early days there was a handled kitchen device that had a screen enclosure on a handle and you put bar soap in and when you wanted to wash dishes you swished it around in the dish water to add soap. For this one you would need egg shaped soap! Still guessing.
