I picked this up at a FM last Sunday from a guy who is showing up more often.  Jaws are 1 1/2 in. wide.  The interesting part, to me anyway, is the inverted 'V' shaped guide over the screw.  I don't have any other ones made like this. 

The shield logo that is cast in the side, appears to have a B in the lower part of the shield.  A look at AA shows a logo similar to this for Bonney.

That is nice.  Imagine scaling that vise up to six inch size, talk about a good heavy design.

It is a great looking vise.

The design speaks volumes tho.

The jaw part rides on a nice V , just like a lathe carriage.

It is a very stable way to mount something that slides, perhaps the best way there is.
It also requires grinding the V flat, and true, and the part that fits over it, just like making a lathe.

There is no way a vise requiring this much post casting machine work was going to compete with a box in a hole design....

Best of class isn't always best in market.
