How many ratchets could survive that abuse and still be (according to the seller "in very good used condition")!? Using an extention on a ratchet is beyond belief, has any one ever seen a ratchet with the handle that bent or even slightly bent?

Ouch!

I don't think it entirely survived tho, look closely, the cover plate  screws don't match in color, the guts probably had to be replaced after ;P

Weird to bend the handle, usually the head explodes (do NOT ask how I know THAT ;P)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

un huh

They used it to snap the obstruction off the top of the motor so they would have a clear shot with the box wrench.

Not sure I can come to terms with the fact that an Aussie "developed" the first obstruction ratchet!! I'll have to think about that for while. At least it's comforting to know that we weren't the first to try!

Men at Work-
QuoteBuying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover." (Yeahhh!)

It was something we all ate before it was a song.

Of course there was this very embarrassing commercial.

Well,,,, it is a 1/2" drive, short handle,,,,so someone most likely used a "cheater" bar on it,,, and the steel was not brittle.
A collectible? Absolutely not.
