Hi guys!

I looked through my non-displayed wrenches today, and found this black-painted Oro sparkplug/headbolt wrench.  Was it fabricated on a Monday?  Check out the "Made in USA" boss on the back!

I'm still trying to figure out the Planet Jr wrench that has
"Made in the United States of America" cast into it.

Did they figure there were people who didn't know what USA stood for?

did the Foundry union complain they needed more work?

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

It could be the answer to that is pride.   Who they were, where they were, something they were part of, as it often showed in their craft and attention to detail.

Imagine being the engraver in a forge tool shop.  He had to do EVERYTHING  as a mirror image.
