don't believe I recall ever seeing one quite like this retriever seen them with tubes /wires but not with just wire it looks hand made look at the pics and you tell me

Looks like someone spent a bit of time making his own, and did a fine job too.

I have seen a smaller all-wire retrieval tool that appeared to be commercially made, but this is clearly different from that one.  I'll bet that others exist . . .

I recently picked up one of those, which is the first one I had seen.  I thought it looked factory made.  The bends in the wire are too perfect.  I would have to look at it again, but I think mine was made of just two pieces of wire, all twisted together and turned back on itself.

I've seen several at flea markets, but none that long. They all appeared machine made.
