Scissors?!  Don't know if those bench shears qualify as scissors...  Nice pair, John!  Where did you come across them?

I felt the heading may raise an eyebrow.  I found these last weekend at the huge: AmVets-Fathers Day Antique event at Walnut Iowa, there is a website.  Out this way is the biggest antique event, just once a year.   Fellow had them marked up not too high.   He was over 70, and had quite a lot of tools, and on a hunch, picked them up and shot him a low ball price, he took it. Is Ten bucks too much?   Already have one but it is pretty rough. This one is ready to use.  Wonder how long that wire twist has been on it?

Goes in hole in anvil.

They fit real well in the Anvils hardyhole.  Also good to use in a flat plate on a work bench.   Notice how the handle ends are bent so one does not remove their fingers.

Yeah, it will go in a hardy hole, but they're called bench shears, and are best used in that flat plate on the work bench.

And John, I paid over three times what you paid, in 1983 dollars.  So, you probably do suck.
