Bob, This was such a good idea that there are even Chinese copies of the ones with the wood handles...and in two different sizes.  And unlike most of the cheap crap the Chinese are noted for, these are quite good quality(I never thought I would use Chinese and quality in the same sentence).

Unfortunately they have no marks indicating the country of origin.  With a little weathering I can see these being sold as genuine Marble's in a few years.  They even come in a box with the Marbles logo.

Along with the safety axes you can also by repro Marbles knives.
