I have 2 small wrenches similar to this with the tear drop shape hole,  I don't recall any markings on them, and is too hot outside to go digging.

Usually a tool post wrench, and the hole is to hang it near where it is to be used.

I just got one of these myself.  I thought I might have found some markings, but a magnifying glass proved otherwise.   I 'spect  Papaw's got its use right.  It fits one of the old square head set screws I have.
