I've seen a variation of this on a gun forum. The way it works is, someone offers up an item for free. The first person to claim it gets it, then that person has to offer up something. No list of names, no drawing from a hat. Any member can jump in and play at anytime. If I recall, last time I checked that thread was going on 100 pages. That was a couple years ago. I believe it was called Pay It Forward.

That is a possibility, but interest in the Giveaways died out recently. No one has offered to do one until you just now.

I guess we could discuss your idea.
